Timothy Gerrish began his professional career as manager of a landscape design and construction firm upon graduating from the University of Maine Orono. Gerrish supervised all construction projects, whether it was site grading, planting or irrigation design and installation.

In 1995, with a particular interest in golf course design, Gerrish entered graduate school to study Landscape Architecture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Between studying and teaching classes in plant material, planting design and residential-open space planning, he worked part-time for Cornish, Silva and Mungeam, Inc. Gerrish became a full-time member of the firm in early 1998.

His Masters Thesis, “Contours of Trash” is a comprehensive study of the design and construction of links style golf courses on landfill sites. Gerrish completed the construction phase of the Natick, Massachusetts demonstration project and the nine hole Sassamon Trace executive course opened in the summer of 2001.
